At some point in our lives most of us will experience a crisis or a situation which we do not want to share with those who are close to us, or in which we have become so overwhelmed that we need the particular skills of a trained and experienced counsellor. Counselling is one way to address those issues which when left unresolved, can undermine our health and well being.

Counselling enables people to examine social and emotional problems in a safe and confidential environment, to explore and to understand the adverse effect on their lives and the lives of those around them, and to improve their capacity to cope both in the present and the future

We offer access to a wide range of counselling and psychotherapeutic methods.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. CBT has also been shown to be an effective way of treating anxiety related symptoms, such as panic attacks and OCD.

CLINICAL SUPERVISION - is a requirement for all Counsellors and Therapists in this field.

REFLEXIVE SUPERVISION - is informed by learning theories and uses the communication skills of the supervisor to facilitate a developmental approach to improving practice. This is a cross professional supervisory process which can enhance CPD.

We offer both individual and group supervision

At Access Counselling NI we have a suite of rooms available for hire by Health and Social Care Professionals or other Voluntary Organisations.
